Christian Serafin 1999 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Corbeaux

Established by Polish immigrant Stanislaus Serafin in 1947, this domaine is considered one of the finest growers in the village of Gevrey. Second generation owner Christian Serafin has been making the wines for over 20 years by following a philosophy of old vines and low yields. The wines are fermented at fairly high temperatures ensuring good extraction of color and fruit. The wines are bottled unfiltered with good levels of new oak. These wines are rich, concentrated and structured, aging gracefully for many years..
